All children deserve access to an excellent education, and private tuition can be an essential part of that journey. It opens up future opportunities, providing an enriching experience that supports academic growth and personal development. Private tuition allows for a tailored approach, where children feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas without the fear of making mistakes.
Beyond improving academic performance, private tuition helps build confidence and fosters a lifelong love of learning. By identifying areas of improvement early on, we can target specific challenges efficiently, ensuring each child’s needs are met. I specialise in building a strong foundation in numeracy and literacy, empowering children to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals with confidence.
Unfortunately, I am unable to offer a pay-as-you-go payment plan. I allocate places to parents who commit to regular payments. I understand that holidays, other commitments, and illnesses may arise, so the 1:1 fees are competitively priced for face-to-face tuition.
I will strive to create an environment where children feel calm, confident, and truly listened to. Each session is tailored to the individual learner, ensuring that tasks are adapted to meet your child’s needs, allowing them to thrive and progress at their own pace.
1:1 sessions are tailored specifically to children’s individual needs and requirements, with regular ongoing assessments made as we work.
Building learning confidence is my top priority. As your child gains confidence, they may begin to enjoy their school environment more and feel more comfortable participating – perhaps even raising their hand more frequently in class. This boost in confidence often leads to improved academic performance, and you may notice their levels increasing when assessed by their school teacher.
As I work with your child(ren), I will develop a clear understanding of their strengths and areas of growth. Based on this, I will adapt each session to focus on their specific needs, helping them progress at their own pace.
I will not be assigning tasks to complete outside of our sessions. Additionally, please note that I do not mark or provide feedback on homework set by your child’s school. My focus during our time together is on building confidence and reinforcing key concepts in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
No. If there is a specific area you’d like your child to focus on, please feel free to discuss it with me, and I will tailor future lessons to accommodate your request.
No. Please drop your child off for their tuition and return when the session has ended. If I travel to you, please allow a quiet space for us to work. This dedicated time allows your child to focus and work without distractions. I will be fully engaged with the children, and it is important for me to see a true reflection of their capabilities in order to adapt my approach and support their learning effectively.
Children who are unwell may not be able to learn most effectively, so it is recommended they miss the class if they are not feeling well. Please note that refunds cannot be provided for missed sessions although I will always try to reschedule so that payment is not lost.
No. In the event of my planned holidays, parents will not be charged for the sessions missed. I will inform you in advance of any planned breaks, and these will be taken into account when calculating the monthly fee.
I will always give an update at the end of the session. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss your child’s progress, please contact me through my Facebook page or via mobile.
Success is not always linear, and it can take several weeks or even months before you begin to see noticeable improvements in your child’s abilities and confidence. I truly believe that investing in your child’s education will always yield long-term benefits, even if the rewards take time to emerge.
Nevertheless, I understand that private tuition may not always be the right fit for every child. If you feel that the sessions are not working for your child, you are welcome to cancel at any time. Simply discuss this with me.
*Already paid sessions will not be refunded.
* Please note that if you cancel, your child’s place will be reallocated to another student. If you change your mind later, the place may no longer be available.
